What's the Big Idea Hits the Road
Our play about Massachusetts innovators begins its tour to 40 elementary schools on November 21. Thanks to funding from the Yawkey Foundation, we will offer performances in Acton, Arlington, Boston, Brockton, Brookline, Burlington, Cambridge, Chelsea, Chinatown, Dorchester, East Boston, Essex, Franklin, Hingham, Hull, Jamaica Plain, Lynnfield, Marion, Marlborough, Peabody, Quincy, Roxbury, Somerville, Waltham, Wayland, Westwood, Woburn and Wrentham. City Stage Co. is presenting this tour in partnership with Boston Children's Museum and Boston History & Innovations Collaborative
Balancing Act: The Musical is Now on CD
This original musical has songs about health with lyrics by Susan Gassett and Larry Coen and Music composed by Jonathan Singleton. Tunes such as Fruits, Fruits, Fruits and Veggies, I'm in the Mood for Milk, and The Snackerena are now on this recording. Copies of the CD will be distributed to Boston Public School kindergarten classrooms, as well as to families of students in the ABCD Head Start program. The show itself will hit the road for performances in 4 housing areas in Boston. Balancing Act: The Musical is presented as part of City Stage's partnership with Boston Children's Museum
