Q: Does City Stage Co. operate a theater space?
A: No. We use the whole city as our stage. To overcome barriers for under-served audiences, our theater productions travel to neighborhoods, charge no admission and are presented in educational settings; i.e. libraries, schools, after-school programs, social service agencies museums and community centers. Our arts education programs take place in public schools and community centers. Our office is located at The Boston Center for the Arts
Q: Does City Stage Co. hold auditions for actors?
A: Yes. We hire adult actors to perform in our touring plays and our museum-based theater productions. We post audition notices on the StageSource hotline. We also attend the annual StageSource auditions for non-Equity actors.
Q: Does City Stage Co. accept scripts?
A: No. All of our scripts are created in-house and tailored to reach specific audiences, serve student performers or educate around particular topics.
Q: Does City Stage Co. accept contributions?

Q: Does City Stage Co. offer classes to the general public?
A: Yes. Even though many of our performing arts classes are for students in the public schools, we also offer after school classes for students in grades 4-8 and for high school age teens on Saturdays.
