Sunday, April 13
Our production of The History and the Adventures of Tom Thumb will perform
on Sunday, April 13 at 1:00 PM as part of the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Arts at the Children's Arts Pavilion: Shapiro Campus Center Multipurpose Room on the campus of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
The show is a lively comedy with audience participation. Twenty-two children and adults are invited on stage to play various roles including Fairy Kings and Queens, Grumbo the Giant, a Ravenous Raven, a Terrified Tinker, Cheesy the Mouse, an Enormous Fish, the Evil Rat Family and Tiny Tom himself.
City Stage's Artistic Director, Larry Coen and Associate Director for Education, Chandra Pieragostini, are alumni of Brandeis. Though they attended years apart, Chandra and Larry were both theater majors who first started working with children as Teaching Assistantsat the incredible Lemberg Children's Center
Friday, April 18
The Voices of Rogers Chorus will present 3 performances of their spring concert on Friday, April 18
at 8:35, 9:30 and 10:30 AM at the W.B. Rogers Middle School at 15 Everett St. in Hyde Park.
City Stage Music Director, Jonathan Singelton, leads
the group as part of our multi-arts program in this
Boston Public School.
Saturday, April 26
Our Teen Stages Program will present No Food Allowed on Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 PM at Cloud Place at 647 Boylston St. in Copley Square. The show is a collection of scripted and improvised scenes. Ezra Flam directs, assisted by Rosalie Norris.
